DCU v4 - 'scheduleReboot=0' option removed, why?

I've used v3.1.3 of DCU with great success to keep all of our PCs up to date.  V4.0 came out in November, thought I'd give it a go (not that I usually try first versions of a major release, I usually wait for the bugs to be ironed out).  Tested out v4.0 on a PC that needed a BIOS update, everything applied fine and the log file said a reboot was needed - as I'd expect.  dcu-cli finished running with no problem.  I then ran the shutdown command on the PC only to be told that a shutdown was 'already in progress'.  I guess this was initiated from DCU.  Not wanting DCU to control when I reboot the PC I looked at the options for dcu-cli and find there's a '-scheduleReboot' option, valid values of 5|15|30|60.  v3.1.3 of DCU had the extra option of '0', 0=never reboot, the option I want.  Question is why has this been removed from v4.0?  Can it be reinstalled?

For anyone who googles this page, after a number of private messages with Dell they concluded that:

Reboot timer "never" removed to enforce user to actually reboot and not leave the system in session for extended time. One explanation why this is important is some drivers like audio will perform an uninstallation of the previous driver and continue installation of the new version after reboot. Without reboot there would be a no sound situation. This being the reason, Reboot timer cannot be set to Never.

Personally this is a backward step as I want to determine when the reboot takes place. We run Dell Update as part of shutdown scripts, having Dell Update initiate a reboot in some fixed time in the future isn't what we want. Sticking with v3.1.1 of Dell Update is our only option now .
