Dell Back & Recovery 1.9.2.8

For some reasons, whenever I turn on my desktop (not from sleep mode), it automatically opens Dell Backup & Recovery screen instead Windows login screen.  Every time that happens I would have to click Quit button in order to move to Windows login screen.  It is so annoying!

I'm currently using Windows 8.1.  I have 2 drives: SSD is main drive (Disk 0) and HDD as 2nd (Disk 1).  I use SSD to boot my PC; and BIOS seems indicate correct boot order - Windows Boot Manager on Disk 0.

Does anyone know how to bypass Dell Backup & Recovery screen when booting your PC?  Many thanks in advance.

chaitown,

Open the run prompt, type "msconfig" and press enter. IN the startup/service tab, you should be able to find the service you are looking for, a.k.a, dell DataSafe Local Backup. Just uncheck it, and apply and OK the changes. Restart the computer if needed.

For me to better assist in troubleshooting, please click my DELL-Jesse L and send me a Private Message with the Dell Service Tag number and your Dell Order number. Click my name in blue then on the next page click where it says send private message

Hi Jesse. I tried to send you a private message but your screen name didn't come up as recipient. Anyway, I went into mscofig as suggested but didn't see Dell DataSafe Local Backup.
