Dell Command | Configure versions

It looks like Dell Command | Configure Version 3.0.0.1, A01, release date 06 Jul 2015, supports Precision M6500 but not Windows 10:

It looks like Version 3.1.0.250, A00, release date 14 Mar 2016, doesn't support Precision M6500:

Since the latch isn't broken yet and the palm rest near the touchpad isn't broken yet, I don't want to take the risk of swapping to a Windows 7 hard drive and swapping back to the Windows 10 hard drive.

Is there a simple way to do this?

I am signed in and tried to post the above as a comment to wiki page at:

The page's "Post" button changes to "Pending" and back but doesn't post my question.)

Norman Diamond,

Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade

Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected.

"Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product."

This seems weird because Version 3.1.0.250, A00, release date 14 Mar 2016, is documented as supporting Windows 10.

If you mean that Windows 10 drivers are not being tested or developed for Version 3.0.0.1, A01, release date 06 Jul 2015, that makes sense because Version 3.1.0.250 was developed for that purpose.

So when Dell added Windows 10 support to  Version 3.1.0.250, did Dell really strip out some of the old code that had supported Precision M6500 and other vintage machines?
