Dell Data Protection

I have a client who has a Dell Optiplex 790 with Windows 7 x64.  We have gone to migrate to Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud edition and the installer has flagged that Embassy Trust Suite is installed onto the machine.

I attempted to uninstall the components and the last one reports that it needs the other two components to successfully uninstall.  I downloaded the software from the Dell Website and went to install it and am being prompted for a Windows Password.

I deployed the machine when new, and didn't set this sw up, and the client assures me (and I believe him) he didn't touch it either.

My questions: Is there a default password I need to locate to complete this process and what is it

Okay found a solution - to my problem at least.

  1. Downloaded DDP Version: 2.2.3.9 ,A06 (filename File Name: DDP_Application_TDC1K_WN_2.2.00003.009_A06.EXE)

  2. Installed this version, ignoring the warning that another versiojns installer failed)
  3. Returned to Prg's & Features
  4. Ran the uninstall for this version (the original still shows in the list)
  5. Reboted machine and SYM EP Cloud installs
