Did not order DataSafe, why is it on invoice?

I just ordered a new studio 17 desktop and found that there was a $29 charge on my invoice for something called datasafe. I didn't order it. Do not know what it is enough to want to order it and will never use it. Especially after seeing all of the issues that come up after a keyword search on this product.

Contacting order/sales support has proven to be futile. The last response I received is that there was nothing to be done because my order was in processing, and if I didn't want this $29 product, I would have to ship the laptop back and wait for an exchange? What kind of service is this? How do I get this removed from my bill?

It appears you have already checked to be certain DataSafe is included in your total.  I have received invoices from Dell, however, that had the items on the list, but not included in the total.  These seem to be some sort of standard printout and there is a number on the left of the item that shows if it is included or not.  Any number other than '0' means it should be in the total.  I wish there were some advice I could give that would help, but it seems that Dell's order processing system has become seriously inflexible over the years.

I generally order my Dell equipment through the on-line site so that I can remove these things before I submit the order.  Yes, it is possible to have troubles that way also, but so far I have been fortunate.

I checked the invoice again and it shows QTY: 1 on this product. I am very careful about the things I select to include on my system and this would have never made the list. I clearly remember bypassing the entire backup/storage section of customization, because I have never order such products. It would be nice if a real, live, american, human customer service rep would contact me regarding this manner. I simply want this unwanted service removed from my bill. After spending as much as I have in the past and encouraging my family to buy as well over the years...a $29 credit to make this right isn't much to ask for.
