If you don't have it - either never got it from Dell, if Office came on the PC,  or lost it Dell does not keep records and has no way of giving you the key.  There are many documented cases on this forum of "no product key" and the ONLY option, if it is over the initial 30 day period of ownership, is to buy a new version of Office.

You can download and run the free Belarc Advisor   www.belarc.com and it will list the product keys for SOME products, but I don't know if it will list what is needed for Office.  And if it doesn't that is basically the last resort.

Sorry I can't give you more positive help. Microsoft can't help you either.

Same thing here.  I looked at my original order and there it is, Microsoft Office 9.0, included.  I have the CD and the paper envelope for the CD but no product key.  I know there's no use calling Dell "Customer Care" because they will tell me it's not their problem because it's a software problem.  Dell could care less that I just bought a computer from them.  As soon as the credit card number is approved, you're on your own.  This is the last time I'll buy a Dell product.

 HighSeasHarry,

I use Open Office, it's just like Microsoft Office, but FREE!

Belarc advisor will give you the key codes to any Microsoft product. Be sure and print it. I`ve found it to be invaluable at times.

Hi SugarBear

I have been fiddling with Belarc Adviser and it has a lot of info for my computer, but no product key for Microsoft Office.  It is an OEM product.  Any suggestions?

Harry

If the Belarc Advisor doesn't show the code, try the "magic jelly bean key finder  Download HERE  If that can't find it you are out of luck.  Dell will only replace missing software or product keys during the first 30 days of ownership.  You can download the free Open Office suite of comparable and compatible Office applications at www.openoffice.org

Are you sure you don't just have an  introductory (demo) version of Office? It's good for probably 30 days from first use. Then you have to purchase it from Microsoft in order to get the product key.
