How do I copy text from a .PDF file?

I'm working on a fill-able form from a vendor that cannot be saved as a pdf.  So I thought I'd capture the screen with the Snipping Tool (trying to learn Win 7, related apps.) . Saved using default file format (PNG). Had trouble finding file... Found SyncUp, opened file, figured out how to Zoom. Then, typed data in form was too fuzzy to read. I'm guessing resolution too low? Subscribing to a service to send for a fee is not an option.  Recaptured as Jpg. Windows photo viewer allowed me to zoom to a readable level.

Why are there no sizing buttons in the SyncUp file window? Right clicking SyncUp on the task bar doesn't offer sizing options either. It did minimize after clicking on the taskbar. I'm glad I learned some new things today.

Who can suggest an easier way to capture images of text the next time?

Install Microsoft Office 2013 customer preview. Microsoft Word can now open and edit pdf files.

Hi,

I was searching online on your issue and got the following information. Please follow the steps below which may fix the issue:

1. Open Adobe Reader and click the "File" menu, then click on “Open." Select a PDF file from your system folders that you want to view and click "Open."
2. Click the "Tools" menu. Click "Select & Zoom," then "Select Tool." This tool is selected by default, but use the "Tools" menu to go back to it if needed.
3. Click and drag your cursor to highlight the text you want to copy.
4. Select a column of text by pressing "Alt" as you place the cursor over the column. This changes the Select tool to column select mode (I-beam icon with a box behind it). Hold down "Alt" and click and drag to draw a rectangle over the column.
5. Select all the text on a page by first clicking the "View" menu. Under "Page Display," choose "Single Page." Click the "Edit" menu, then "Select All." All the text on the page in view will be selected. If you want to select all the text in the entire document, choose a different page display and then choose "Select All".
6. Right-click the selected text and click "Copy".
7. Open another application and click "Edit, Paste" to paste the text.

Hope this information is useful. Please reply.
