HOW TO AVOID COMPUTER HANG WHILE USING NEW "IMPROVED" HOTMAIL
After Microsoft updated Hotmail, many of us found that while using Hotmail, the program would hang on an hourglass with 100% CPU usage. requiring an off button soft shutdown. By removing all INTERNET temp and temp files, the problem goes away. If you are using IE8, you further may need to use compatibility mode.

I should add that you must enable script debugging (in internet properties-advanced) )or you may hang when viewing Hotmail junk mail.

I haven't had any "hang" problems, yet with the new Hotmail. I'm not impressed with the new version, but no problems so far.
My system is Win 7 64 bit, 8GB Ram, I.E.8 and broadband cable link.
