How to disable 3D effect in Powerpoint ?

Hi folks, when I use the "No 3D" button, it does not disable the 3D effect in the next line that I draw. This is pretty annoying. Is there a way to turn off the 3D effect permanently so that I don't have to keep on using the "No 3D" button ? Thanks in advance !

mikeraj,

see

Set default text and drawing shape styles

 http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00039.htm

That should do the trick.

Hi Taj, thanks for your response !

I tried that but the 3D effect is still there. Also, I noticed there isn't any 3D field in the autoshape format menu.

For the text box formatting, I am also facing a problem changing from center to left justified. I tried using the formatting tool, and it doesn't work. There is no field for justification in the format menu

What else can be done ?

Many thanks !

mikeraj,

The 3d and the "align - left/center/etc" controls not on the autoshape format menu,

The "align" is along the top row of buttons

The 3D is along the bottom row of buttons

Cheers

Hi Taj, thanks but I'm aware of the location of those buttons. Using them only effect the immediate task, but on the next task, I will still have to use the buttons again. I'm trying to find a way such that I do not have to do that always

mikeraj,

If you follow the link I first posted, it will detail how to make "no 3d" the default option.

Cheers
