how to resize NTFS partiiton?

I'm absolutely crazy about this task . I've got hundred separate Google search results, every single one explaining how to "right click the volume and click extend".  but in fact the button of extend volume is grayed out. so what can i do now? is thee a way for me to reszie ntfs partition?

abfifg,

The extend button is greyed out: that's because the Volume that you are trying to resize is a system partition which is in use so you can not do a change on it, You will need to use a 3rd party program to perform this task. Some programs to use are PartedMagic/GParted

Hello,

if you want to use disk managemet to extend ntfs partition, there mube be unallocated sapce contigious behind the partition you wan to extend, or the extend volume will gray out.

desides gpart, i wanna share aomei partiiton assistant to you. with this software, you can extend partition on matter there is unallocated sapce contigious behind the partition you need to extend.
