I want to REMOVE Dell's pre-installed Sync Up program.

Hello,

I have never used and have no intention of ever using the Sync Up software on my Dell laptop. I want to know if there is anyone with enough know-how to completely REMOVE it from my system. Key word: REMOVE. I do not want it to exist on my computer at all. I want to REMOVE it. I do not want to turn it off I want to REMOVE it. If you cant tell me how to REMOVE it then do not post because you aren't answering my question whatsoever. I've read and felt the frustration from many others trying to get this resolved and they only got crap 'answers' (they weren't answers if they suggested something else the user did not ask to do like turn it off). If you try to suggest/tell me to do something that doesn't completely REMOVE the crapware from my system I will probably freak out.

Thank You,

Gabe

Hi Gabe,

After reading your comments I tried looking up the web for a possible solution to uninstall SyncUP and indeed there are many users facing the same problem. I hope you have already tried using uninstallers like Revo to remove SyncUP.

I could locate one link which has few steps to completely uninstall SyncUP: http://bit.ly/11MgZYf

Hope this helps.

Hi Gabe,

Please share the system model and operating system installed. Assuming that you are running Windows 7, you may follow the below mentioned steps to remove the application:

  • Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Uninstall a program.
  • Select the application that you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the application.

If the above mentioned step doesn't work, you may install Revo Uninstaller Pro from the link http://www.revouninstaller.com/. Install it on your system and use it to uninstall the Sync Up application. The usage instructions are shared under How To section along with the manuals and videos. This should completely remove the application from the system.

Note: This is a third party application, Dell does not support or endorse this application.

Please reply if you have any questions. I'll be happy to assist.

Why would you even take the time to reply that. Very immature. Anyways, I wasnt trying to be polite nor rude I wanted to be understood. If you had sifted through the questions and answers other people with the same problem had you might understand why I worded it the way I did. On a lighter note I just gave up and used the add/remove option through the control panel. I'm sure there are pieces of Sync Up left over all over my computer. However, I cant complain about the marked increase in overall computer performance. Thanks Anyways
