Microsoft Office 2010 Purchased with New Computer

Hello,

I purchased a new Dell XPS 8500 computer with Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business. The packing slip with the computer shows two items in this shipment: 225-4158 XPS 8500 Fast track config38 and 421-8669 Microsoft Office Home and Business Kit, SW,OFCHB-2010T,MPI,ENG,DAO.

I have looked everywhere in the box the computer shipped in and I cannot find the Microft Home and Office kit and I cannot activate office without the MPI card.

I received this order on 1/24/2013 and the box was undamaged and still sealed with Dell security tape. Should an office kit have been included and MPI?

Thak you for your help.

I looked through the box again and I finally found the Microsoft Office MPI card. It was all the way at the bottom of the box and under one of the cardboard flaps. Thans for your help.

The kit is just a card with the activation number. Go through everything again even both sides of the styrofoam packing and all the paperwork. There is no office disk. Contact customer support with your order number if you don't find it. That fast track invoice item is for fast shipping and has nothing to do with Office. You had to pay $220 extra for office home and business. Make sure that it appears on the invoice.

I'm convinced someone delights in hiding things in the box! Glad you found it.

I never did find the card. Dell is sending out a new one. Frustrating!
