When i search a particuliar folder for a keyword i would like it to search from newest to oldest emails. It's searching from the oldest to newest. I do not see a feature that allows me to do this either.
How do you have your "Inbox" arranged? Is it from oldest to newest, the way that your search is coming out? Or the other way around.
If it is from oldest to newest click on the 'Recieved' button (it will show 'Sort by: Recieved' when you hover over it) so that the shadow arrow is pointing down. This will rearrange them from newest at the top, to oldest at the bottom. If you perform a search after that is should be listed the same way.
i still have this issue regardless if i have them from new to old or old to new order. It always searches from oldest to newest and i want it to search from newest to oldest.
ok...so in other words your telling me to be patient :)
See, i have 1000's of emails in my inbox & sent folder and if i'm searching using a common word it takes a long time to search from oldest to recent when it's the recent email i'm looking for.
i hope i'm making sense - i do have issues explaining things sometimes - sorry.
On the Messages tab, fill in Search for the word(s): and In:, then go to the Advanced tab.
Under Define more criteria you will find a drop-down button labeled Field
Click Field > Frequently used fields > Recieved
You will then see the field Condition: available for editing. Click the drop-down arrow to select a choice that includes anytime, within the last week, this month, next month, etc.
