Microsoft Word
I had to restore my system using the discs provided at purchase. Now I cannot use Word - keeps asking for a key, which I cannot find anywhere. I thought that backup discs were provided by Dell for all software installed at purchase. Or is Word something that was only good for a certain period of time? I have a Dell Dimension 4700.

If you reinstalled Microsoft Office, the product key is on the envelope containing the Office CD.

If it's not on the packaging and it's not on the computer, then I don't know. Perhaps someone else has an idea.

All the Works disks normally come in a box that has the key for Word on it. Works itself doesn't need a key, but Word does. Try and find the Works packaging.
