MS Word 2000 password protected document

I can't remember the password on a Word 2000 document I created laset November. Anyone know of a way to get past it?

You could try one of many password "crackers", like the one available << here >>

To add to that,

Passwords needed to open the document must be brute forced or dictionary attacked.  If you used a strong password, it may not be feasible to recover.

All other types of Word passwords (say write reservation passwords) are relatively weak and there is software to recover them instantly.

If you wish to host the Word document somewhere, I will be happy to run some basic dictionary attaks against it.

edit:  actually just use the free tool ... it looks similarly capable as what I have, though mine claims to be more efficient at brute forcing.
