MS Word not fully operable as Outlook email editor.

I installed outlook 2003 over top of Office 2002/XP.  While I had originally set Word to be the editor for Outlook email, many of those editing functions are now gone (e.g., auto mispell correction).  When I go to the screen in Outlook (2003) to reset word (2002) asthe editor, the option is to select Word (2003) as editor.  I have Word 2002 not 2003.  In any case, the Word 2003 is grayed out and thus not selectable if I had it installed.  Any thoughts on how I might get Word 2002 back as editor for Outlook 2003?  Thanks.

Wednesday

Thank you Mary G, I was afraid of that.  I only upgarded Outlook, as the rest of the office suite did not seem to have much of anything new to offer.

You cannot do this. The versions must match. Only Word 2003 will work with Outlook 2003. You'll either have to forego using Word as your editor or upgrade Word.
