Outlook 2003 I lost my inbox folder
I have been having a lot of hang issues lately. Did an online scan for spyware with F Secure but still had problems. I was not ready to reinstall WinXp Pro yet because I am still backing up a few programs.
I rebooted the system and went into Outlook. It is supposed to go to my inbox folder but instead I get this message on a grey backgroud saying "Folder not found". All my other folders are intact and I can open with no problem. The "inbox" folder shows there are still 3 unread messages. I have tried to use "detect and repair" but still have the same problem. I can't do system restore because I disabled it when I previously had a virus.
Can I reinstall Outlook without destroying all my current folders? What else can I do? Thanks

Yes, I can connect but I can't access the inbox folder. I don't want to download from webmail in case I lose anything else.
I tried reinstalling office and it won't complete the installation. I have lost Word, Excel, PUblisher and PowerPOint. I get an error that says "Error 1311 can't access file ZF561407.CAB" Must I uninstall MS Office prior to reinstalling?

Can you connect to you email account at all? If so, will Outlook retrieve the mail?
