Outlook 2003 messages disappearing

We are running Outlook 2003 with our broadband email account.  When hitting send/receive, we can see emails come in the inbox and then disappear.  They don't go to a deleted items folder or any folder as far as we can tell.  We don't have any rules setup.

Any suggestions?

Bjohnrugby,

Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.

Off the top of my head, the first place I would check is the Junk E-mail folder and see if OL is moving some emails into that folder.

Most likely cause for this is an incorrect View setting. IMO, OL 2003 is really a pain about this. Go to View > Arrange By > Current View and make sure Messages (top selection) has been checked. Don't select any other option. This shows you all your messages.

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately neither of them worked.  Any other thoughts?

From the toolbar menu, Do you have "View"  "Folder List" selected?

Also check Tools / Services (or Accounts) and see where you have selected to place/deliver new mail. Check under Properties of persoanl folder and see if there is a delivery tab.

It could be going to another personal folder you setup.
