Programmes uninstall when computer is turned off
Hi,
I was advised to post in this forum so I apologise if it doesn't go here.
I installed The Sims 3 Showtime yesterday, and it worked fine, apart from when I removed the disc which gave me a blue screen, but I narrowed that down to Roxio, which I have now uninstalled. So anyway, after my computer was turned off, the game was uninstalled, but I had no uninstalled it at all, and there hadn't been a system restore to before it was installed either. So I thought it may have been due to the blue screen so installed it again, and then it froze so I had to turn the computer off again from the button, and it was uninstalled again when I turned it back on. So I have installed it again but before I play I am posting this to find out what exactly is going on here. :emotion-6:

If you install something - anything, not just your Sims 3 game, if there is a problem such as the Blue Screen and the PC restarts, whatever installed (or whatever is changed) is not saved and thus lost.
On the other hand, if you install or change something then do an orderly Windows shutdown or Restart, the installed program or system change will be saved and available.

Oh I see! That makes sense now. I did an orderly shutdown a few hours ago after installing the game again and it was still installed when I started it again.
Thank you for giving me peace of mind, I thought it was just a problem with the actual game.
