Saved file E drive?

Can anyone help - yesterday I was working on some excel files - pressed saved and now I can't open them - I think this is because they have saved on the E drive. Windows explorer quick access screen shows they have been saved as follows: E:\mydrive\operations................ I cant even find the e drive on the pc. Cheers sam
