Signature on word document

Question

How can I scan my signature onto a file so I can regularly use in future documents.   Thanks

To add to Denny's suggestion. Scan the picture, insert it into any Word document. Select the picture, then choose Insert AutoText, New from the menu. Give it a name (eg. sign) and, when you need it in a document, type sign, press F3 and it will be inserted.

Paul at Watford, Scan the signature then save it as a graphics file (*.gif or *.jpg). When you need it, insert it into your Word document (Insert|Picture|From file).

But remember that any recipient of a document file (e.g. as an attachment to email) with that picture of your signature could copy it and subsequently use it.

I do have a..gif file of my signature but only use it if I am certain that the recipient is trustworthy, or if I am sending hard copy only (but in that case it's just as easy to sign the print out as it is to insert the .gif, except if the identical document is hard copied tom masny recipients, I guess).
