Trying to reformat a GX110

I was needing help about a GX110 that was donated to a church from a widow. It was her husbands machine and is password protected. I do not want any of the information that could be on this machine. Would like to reformat the hard drive for use in teaching Spanish/Engish classes to others. How can I reformat-- it currently has 2000 pro but I have a Win 98 disk It will not get me to the point where I can reformat and does not acknowledge the disk in the drive.

It should find the drive but not recognize the ntfs partition, you should still be able to fdisk it, it will complain about the unknown partiton but just say yes.

If you reinstall an operating system of win 2K or later, it will do the same thing, no need to fdisk first.
