Unable To Download Driver
I'm afraid I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to computers but I have managed to download drivers in the past with no problems.
I have noticed that there is a new driver version for download (TS - L632H slim 8xDVD+/-RW) but I'm having a bit of trouble. After download installs and unzips a TSDNWIN flash window appears. It states that F/W FILE is not opened and when I click in the search box, a window then appears with two boxes, one to enter file name and one with this message; Files of Type DOWNLOAD FILE (*.BIN).
I would be very grateful if somebody could provide me with any help in how I open this file in order to install this driver.

First, this is NOT a Driver. It is a "Firmware" update to the drive. The only "drivers" are the built in default Windows drivers.
You failed to include your PC Model Number so I can't look at the firmware upgrade's installation instructions. But look at the Dell listed installation instructions that are on the Dell Downloads for this drive. It details exactly what to do.

Many thanks for your help fireberd, told you I was a nerd when it comes to computers. My computer model is an Inspiron 1520 (Laptop), now that I know F/W means firmware and not 'Flash Window', I'll search for installation instructions within the forum.

There are many different model drives used with this model. Make sure the firmware you have is for the EXACT same model as your drive.
Here is the instructions for one of the firmware updates. If this is not your model drive, substitute your model drive/firmware number for what is listed.
Windows based firmware flash update for HLDS GSA-T21N 12.7 tray IDE
DVD+/-RW:-
1. Download and unzip the GSA-T21N_A1R1.zip into your
desktop.
2. In “GSA-T21N_A1R1” folder, please search for the “Windows”
folder.
3. In “Windows” folder, please make sure you have the administrator
right, and double click on “GSAT21NA1R1.exe”
4. The firmware of the drive
will be updated to a newer version. The target drive should be HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW
GSA-T21N.
5. Please close other applications before updating and click on the
“UPDATE” button.
6. Now updating in progress. It takes a few minutes. Don’t
turn off the PC.
7. Updating was completed successfully. Please reboot the PC
and click on the “REBOOT” button.
