What computer and operating system? Win XP needs the Desktop or Notebook System Software installed first before all other drivers so all the other drivers install properly. Get it at your Dell Download page under System Utilities. Make sure you reinstall the telephone/fax modem driver.

As I said, I had Dell FAX installed before I re-installed the OS (Vista HP). The printer was the last thing I installed after the OS and all other drivers.

As for faxing, if you have the disk that came with the printer, then insert the Printer disk and stop it from running. Go to My Computer and double click on it. Look for the drive with the Dell disk in it. Right click on it, left click explore. Look for the Fax Folder. In the Fax Folder, right click on setup.exe and left click run as administrator. This will install the Fax program.

There's no FAX folder on the disk (????). Could I have gotten it with a driver update? Is Dell FAX available from Dell as a stand-alone program (download)? Followed your link. Way to much stuff w/o explanations and all about US Robotics (Not my brand of modem.) Thanx Mk

I thought the BVRP PhoneTools for Faxing worked for anyone that had a modem.

Try opening the Dell All-In-One Center. Click on Fax an image or document. Then go through the steps and see if it prompts you to insert your printer disk to install the software. I know it's not in the drivers from Dell's website but almost positive it's on the printer disk. My printer has a FAX folder. Inside the fax folder there is a setup.exe file. Right click on it and left click run as administrator. I cannot try this anymore as I do not have a modem on my computer.
