why is document imaging Word file using 100% CPU
I have a strange problem.
I have scanned a 200 page document with MS office document imaging and successsfully exported it to Word as editable text using OCR.
The problem is that when I start working on this Word document the CPU% goes up to 100 and stays there, causing the processor to overheat.
I do not have this problem with any other MS Word documents, even those of far bigger size (this one is only about 400kb). If I save the document and open it in MS Words word processor there is no problem - it uses about 2% CPU. But even if I then save the document again (in whatever format, txt, rtf etc.) and try to open it in Word, the CPU% goes right up 100 and stays there.
This is very annoying as I am unable to format the document to the spec I need in works.
Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem, and how I might resolve it?
Only thought I had was whether there might be some sort of problem caused by the fact that I took the loaded the document imaging from MS publisher 2003, whereas my version of Office is only 2000. Could that have had any effect?
Would really welcome any advice on this one.
