Aspect Ratio
I am about to buy a 3300MP Projector to use with my Inspiron 5000. I don't understand about aspect ratio, I read on the web-site that you can only get a 1:1 ratio if you run the projector at below 1024x768 (which is its native resolution). but I would want it to synchronise with the laptop's resolution of1400x1050. In this case, the aspect ratio becomes 4:3 ( or maybe3:2,which is what the guy on the techsupport phone, who had never actually seen one of these projectors ,in India, told me ) Can somebody please explain what this means. Does it mean that there is a degree of distortion to the image? In other words, if you have an image of a circle on the laptop, and the projector changes the aspect ratio to 4:3, will the circle now be displayed by the projector as an elipse, even slightly elliptical? I want to use the set-up for projecting high resolution pictures, digital version of a slide show, on a screen 6ft wide, and any degree of distortion is unacceptable. Thanks for your help. Please could the moderator reply if no-one else can help.
