Can't load drivers for Perc S110
PowerEdge R320
I have a Server 2008 that won't boot. It hangs at the green caterpillar loading bar. I tried booting into safe mode, and directory restore mode. They all hang at some point. I went into startup repair but there is no OS listed. Every driver I try to load says the specified location does not contain information about your hardware.
Here is the driver im installing http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=FNPHT

Hello
Make sure the S110 is enabled. If you are seeing a CTL R option during boot to enter the S110 controller BIOS then it is enabled. You can enable/disable the S110 by changing the SATA mode in the system BIOS. You can find information about the BIOS settings in the system manual on our support site.

Check the version of 2008 that you are trying to install. 2008 and 2008R2 are not the same operating system. They do not use the same driver. The driver you are trying to load is for 2008R2. 2008 comes in either 32 or 64 bit. If you are using 2008 then change the OS drop-down list to the version you are using, either 2008x86 or 2008x64. The S110 is a driver based controller, it does not work with standard/generic drivers. You will need to install a driver for it to function. If you are using an operating system that is not supported for the S110 then you can set the SATA mode to something other than RAID to disable the S110. ATA or AHCI mode will operate as a pass-through and work with native operating system drivers.
