Dell r710 bios update

I’m currently running bios 1.1.4 and trying to update to the current bios but can’t seem to get it to update from boot. I’m running cloud Linux so I can’t use a exe I have also tried to use the Linux.ios of firmware but get can’t mount. Also currently not connected to internet. Thanks for the help

Hi,

Try download the 32 bit windows update package, https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER04846497M/1/R710_BIOS_1Y3XN_WN32_6.5.0.EXE  putting it on a usb stick, then connect it and press F10 during post for the lifecycle controller and run the update from platform updates.

Ok so don’t go f11 for boot manager just press f10 during boot. Correct?

Ok and this update won’t effect the iperct6 or does it need to be updated before bios?

It does not change anything on the perc, that should be updated after the bios.
