Help! DELL R770 - Unable to start iDRAC or BMC because of an internal issue - 001. See the message: RAC0185
Hello, everyone!
Hello! We recently purchased a new server! Everything was fine, I updated the firmware for iDRAC and BIOS via iDRAC web. The server rebooted several times. I ran a LiveCD flash drive to check that everything was OK. After turning the server off and on again, it started displaying this error!
And I can't do anything. It's not responding.
Unable to start iDRAC or BMC because of an internal issue - 001. See the message: RAC0185
I saw on the internet that there was such a problem.
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/tr-tr/000343194/idrac10-1-20-50-50-bellenimine-s%C4%B1f%C4%B1rlama-ve-g% C3%BCncelle%C5%9Ftirme-hatalar%C4%B1ndan-sonra-yan%C4%B1t-vermiyor
But I had the latest idrac firmware. From November 14, 2025.
I found another instruction
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/poweredge-r6715/idrac10_1.xx_ug/recovering-idrac?guid=guid-a5f2c8f7-6cd0-4354-9d4f-c1f12230b9d2&lang=en-us
I formatted a 4GB USB flash drive to FAT32, created folders, and put the necessary firmware file on it.
Then I connected the flash drive to the rear USB port of the server, next to the VGA connector.
Next, I connected the server's power supply, and it started up on its own, but the same error is still displayed on the screen and nothing else happens.
___
What am I doing wrong?
Or are there other ways to solve this problem?
There is no access to IDRAC via RJ45.
Thank you.
