Internal Error: ErrorCode not Found in ErrorCodes File
Hi All,
I have a PowerEdge OEMR XL R220 server running centos and when we tried to update the bios using the . Bin image file, it runs for 30 mins and then gives the error 'Internal Error: ErrorCode not Found in ErrorCodes File'.
Has anyone ever come across this error message before becuase it is very vague and does not give any hint of what the error might be. Also I do not have any custom logo during boot so it looks like only the Dell logo has been removed. Ca. I use the bios.exe available from Dell site to upgrade the bios or will be there any issue since the server mentions oem model.

Hi,
As you mentioned, this error does not directly say what it is about. What is the current BIOS version, sometimes if there is a very old BIOS version, it may be necessary to update the latest version in order. If you have iDRAC access, you can try using ".exe" extension BIOS file. iDRAC can use ".exe" files. But Before you do these, can you do power drain, you can turn off the server , remove PSU and hold power button for around 30seconds.
