KVM 71PXP - Need adaptor

I just recieved a 6800 to replace and ailing 6400.  However, the 6800 has USB ports for the mouse and keyboard, and my 71PXP uses the ps2 style cables.  (8 pin mini-din)  Are there adaptors that will let me go from a PS2 to a USB?  Everything else in my rack is uses the ps2 style, so I either need a new switch the does both, or an adaptor.

Thanks

Almost, just the genders are reversed.  I need a male on the USB side and female on the PS2 side.  I think I have found some cables from Tripplite that will probably do the job.  Thanks for the reply.

Hello,

Please contact you Dell Sales Representative and request part number M2340.  This is the USB to PS/2 dongle that Dell ships specifically for use on the PE6800 server to connect to these older style KVMs.

Hello,

Have you checked to insure that your KVM device is running the latest FW?  It can be found at:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R71827&SystemID=PWE_CON_SW_BOX_2X16&os=WNT5&osl=en&deviceid=1105&devlib=0&typecnt=1&vercnt=4&formatcnt=1&fileid=93219

That may solve the issue.

I am using the usb adaptor to PS/2 ports that Dell provided for the PowerEdge 6850 and it is not working with the Dell KVM 71PXP kvm switch.

Anyone else have this issue, are there firmware updates to resolve this?  Do I have to buy a new KVM switch to support this server?
