Minimum depth for Versarails

Question

Hi Am looking for clrification on the minimum depth for the Versarails kit. We use lots of 900mm deep, 4 post cabinets and would like to try and fit Dell servers into these. The front vertical rails are 100mm back from the front door. The rear vertical are about the same so it only gives a depth of approx 700mm between brackets. Does anyone know if this do-able with the Versarails and/or Rapidrails? If not, what is the minimum recommended cabinet depth?   Thanks from Oz!!

Different rail kits have slightly different ranges, for instance:
PE1950 min - 26 15/16" to max 29 9/16" (684.21mm to 750.88mm)

PE2950 min - 26 13/16" to max 29 5/16" (681.03mm to 744.53mm)

These dimensions are for the Versa Rail configuration. The Rapid Rail configuraion is 1/4" (6.35mm) shorter do to the square hooks having to clear the rack.

The standard Dell installation depth is 28 7/8" (733.42mm), if you purchase a Dell 4210 Server Rack it will be set to this depth. Your Rack has a 700mm mounting depth which is within the range of the PE1950 and PE2950, as well as most other Dell Rail Kits.

If your Server Rack does not meet this depth requirement then there are adapter kits that can make up the distance by either extending or shortening the mounting depth of your rack.

Thanks Will   So if the rail kits themselves can fit between those vertical rails, what is the overall length of the rails?   Also, so you understand where I am coming from, we are looking at buying the Poweredge 1950's which are apparently 750mm deep (excluding cable management). Will these units fit into the same 900mm deep cabinet? We are also looking at the Dell 1U Rack Keyboard/LCD. We have had staff in the field say that these simply cannot fit. I know it would be very squeezy, but is it possible?   Thanks Conrad

The PE1950 chassis is 30.25' (768.35mm)    PE1950 Rail Kit Physical Rail Lenghth: 31.5' (800.1mm) Cable Management Assembly: 3.5' (88.9mm) Front Bezel: 1.5' (38.1mm) Complete Assembly: 36.5' (927.1mm) **Front Air Gap: 1' (25.4mm)   Overall Assembly with required front space: 37.5' (952.5mm) Overall Assembly with required front space and without CMS: 34' (863.6mm)   I can get you the dimensions of the KVM but it will have to be later today or on Monday.
