Outputs on dla3000rm2u
Please be patient, i am a novice at the rack/electrical stuff. Previously everything has been stand alone servers and UPS scattered throughout our building. But now we are modernizing and consolidating.
I ordered a dell rack, the 24U. Dell support configured my order with two UPS (DLA3000rm2u) and two 16amp pdu. Each ups has the backplate with one round 20amp locking plug, (L5-20R), two 5-15R and two 5-20R receptacles. Also appears to have a 20a circuit breaker? Is the breaker to protect the whole thing or just the L5-20R output?
So, if i plug the PDU to the UPS via the L5-20R, can I use the outlets on the PDU for the console switch and the console monitor, as well as for servers? It won't be too much power for "normal" stuff like that?
Can I additionally plug more items directly into the four nema receptacles on the UPS, will that spread the load more evenly than if everything goes thru the pdu? (assuming I don't overload the ups altogether).
