PERC H310 migration to H710p

Hello,

I'm not an expert in RAID configurations but I'm in charge of my company's Dell T320 server and we're going to replace the storage controller that came with it (H310) with a PERC H710p. We have a RAID-1 configured and we're going to continue using the same two drives after the migration. We're going to replace the controllers.

I know I have to do a backup before replacing doing the exchange but, are we going to lose the RAID-1 configuration and the data (including the OS) after migrating? Or is it going to be transparent to the system after rebooting?

Where can I find some kind paper that could guide me thru this process because I don't want to screw anything up.
