Possibly stupid question about a Power Rack Console 15FP

I have a PowerEdge Rack Console 15FP, I was wondering if there was a way to remote log into the console and use it to connect to the servers that way?  I know it is able to pull up a server that is not in the same physical location, but was wondering if it was possible to remotely log into it to connect to the servers the console is linked to.  (My boss says it is possible, but I haven't seen anything that indicates that anywhere in the documentation that I can find)

Thanks for any assistance.

We have a few of those consoles and to my knowledge it isn't possible via the console (my staff did the install of the consoles so I am only 99% sure about this..).  FWIW, we purchase all our Dell servers with Dell Remote Access Cards (DRAC) as it is a small price to pay for the remote login, management & monitoring capability they provide for the servers. You might want to check out these as an option for your servers.

The DRAC card are excellent if you want to manage servers via remote access. With the Dell KVM over IP switches (2161DS-2, 2321DS or 4161DS) you can manage your servers via at the rack or from a remote interface. If you just want to manage the switches from the rack then you will want the Dell 180AS or 2160AS. Here is a link where you can find th epart numbers and info on all Dell branded KVM switches.
