replace all 6 fans with new fans...update bios and all firmware from dell up to date...reset bios for 1 hour...take out the cr 2032 also....factory default settings..cleared all the logs and error...stil the same error

epsa shows fan2 zero rpm

i think the motherboard is the problem....

Andreipop,

That may be the case, but first could you confirm if the server is up to date on BIOS and iDrac, and if not would you clarify what versions both are on?

Hi,

Sometimes it can related just a cosmetic issue if the fan is working and after iDRAC update it could be fix it. But you updated so I can suggest iDRAC reset and power drain methods for the system. And maybe you can downgrade to the previous iDRAC version to try. You can check to see if the error is carried when you replace Fan2 with another fan. But as far as I can see, you said that already renewed the fans. I would start to suspect the motherboard if the fan itself is OK and updating and other methods don't work.

iDRAC Reset;

Power Drain;

1. Power the server down.
2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.
3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.
4. Insert power cables and network cables back to the system.
5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on server to give the iDRAC time to initialize.
6. Power the system on.
