SERIAL CONNECTION
Hello
I've messed with the bios and turn the integrated video by mistake on DELL C6220
My question is how do I get to the bios via serial port so I can turn the video back on
I removed the battery for a few minutes and put it back again and now when I put the node back on I can't turned on. I have C6220 2x2U NODE
I've got USR-TCP232-302 device to convert Serial RS232 to RJ45 but I don't know witch software I have to use to get to the BIOS never done this before I use iDRAC always
Thank you

This server is equipped with DELL BMC and I can't find the option to enable the video there
What if I've turned the battery around I can't find the reason why I can't power on the NODE
I have all lights on but the NODE can't power on. I had to remove one of the pci cards I had installed because wasn't compatible with my software and I removed the battery for few minuted while removing the PCI card. then assembled the NODE plugged into the chassis back on and I couldn't power that node. It is usually when you inserted into the chassis it powers on automatically
Any idea what I did wrong?
Thank you

You have a couple different options, depending on the configuration. If you have an iDrac Enterprise on the system, then you can simply connect via the Virtual console and reenable the embedded video. You can also follow this link to review other steps at clearing the BIOS settings.
Let me know what you see.

When you removed the battery, did you then remove the power cords and then hold down the power button to drain the flea power?

Sorry
I had no idea about that. Should I do this now or I have to do something else?
Let see if I understand right.
1. Removing the NODE then removing the battery
2. Plug in the NODE back without the battery but before that I have to remove the Power cables
3. Holding down the power button for how long to drain flea power?
Does it matter if I use front Power button or the rear?
Thank you

Power off the server, remove the cmos battery, then remove the cables, then hold the power button. After that then wait a few minutes and then reinstall.

Hello
I did what you suggested and now server is up and running, but without a video again
I have currently connected the serial cable to the server. Do you know how to access the bios with the serial? if that even possible
Thank you

Sorry for the delay. The only other option I see would be to perform the following steps from the BIOS, which you would need to get to blind. If you have another C6220 you can power it at same time to time the appearance of the F2 BIOS prompt. Once there then;
Then reboot and see if the video is restored.
