New RM 5.0.2 Server - Need help with dedicated storage pool
Forgive me for asking simple setup questions, I'm use to using RM for Symmetrix and this new fangled CX thing is confusing me.
When adding storage from a CX, do I need to create a storage group called "EMC Replication" that luns for clone targets are bound to? I notice when I discover storage in RM I am gettting an error" "CLARiiON XXX2020 does not have a Replication Manager Storage group EMC Replication".
Any help is appreciated!

Also just incase you have multiple RM Servers in your environment, please note, the recommendation is for just one RM Server to manage each Clariion Array. ie dont have 2 RM Servers managing the same Clariion array.
If you need to have 2 RM Servers managing the same Clariion array then you will need to submit an RPQ via your EMC Sales channels to see if it is possible.

On the Cx series arrays you need to create a storage group called "EMC Replication Storage" and then populate it with the LUNs that you will use for clones. When RM scans the array for available storage it looks for that SG and inventories all the LUNs in that SG.
