Replistor (MS Cluster) Exchange Replication Options to DR Site

This solution can definitely be done. The important note here is that this is, in fact, a Microsoft solution and we are simply using ReplIStor to get the data from A to B.

The Target system can be a single or 2 node MSCS. Normally, a sinlge node MSCS is used so that hardware resources are not wasted, unless you are using VM's.

Here is the Microsfot TechNet article they should follow to accomplish the solution. If they follow this paper, they will have a successful install and DR solution for an Exchange MSCS:

Does the DR Exchange server have to be a cluster installation or can it be a standard Exchange 2003 Server ?

We have set it up so that the Cluster replicates to the standard Exchange 2003 Server, and though the data replicates ok, we aren't able to connect to the replicated Exchange Server, and I suspect that if we replicated to a single node cluster Exchange Server it would work.

Any ideas ?

The Target side MUST be a MSCS w/ Exchange installed in the MSCS.

Exchange SA will not successfully start if you try to start the services on a stand-alone installation in this scenario.
