Secure Connect Gateway

Hi,

I have a VxRail cluster and want to configure it for SCG, and there is a firewall between the SCG and the VxRail solution. I have looked at the document for port openings and have some questions.

Communication from VxRail to SCG, is it the VxRail Manager IP they want or the iDRAC ?

Is this the only firewall openings that needs to have the VxRail manager communication with SCG ?

AndreasEC,

Unfortunately you will likely need to call in to support with this issue, as we don't normally support Vxrails and may not be able to be accurate in our support.

Now as far as the issue, I thought in this scenario that you would initiate it from the VxRail itself, and not through a normal discovery within SCG.

So I would try it that way and see if it works, but after that it may be better to contact support.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi,

We have 5 VxRail systems and are now configuring SCG.

From the documentation "The local system must be able to connect to the following Enterprise servers through ports 443 and 8443" and the addresses are "esrs3-core.emc.com + esrs3-coredr.emc.com". Is this enough, or do I need to include all the addresses that are listed for Global Access Servers ? Thats like 30+
