With autodiscoverythe IP Manager automatically discovers candidate systems based on the systems initially added to the modeled topology using manualdiscovery. This method is useful when topology information is incomplete or unavailable or when manual updates cannot be maintained. It also has the same 4 phases like the manual discovery. 1. Perform initial polling of the candidate system2. Determine the destination of the candidate system: add to topology, place onPending Devices list, or discard3. Probe the system added to the topology4. Post-process the discovery informationDuring the final phase of discovery, post-processors consolidate the information collected from the various probes to create Layer 2 (data-link) and Layer 3 (network) connectivity between the systems in the topology. If any additional post-discovery need to be done, custom-end-post.asl can be modified to perform the extra discovery that needs to be performed after the normal initial discovery.Please refer IP Discovery Guide for more specific details.ThanksArun
