Archive to a specific cabinet

Can we run an EmailXtract task for shortcut/archive such that the archive goes to a specific archive folder created under EmailXtract Administrator?

Xtract will not let you point the task to a specific folder in the administrator

You could use collection/exclusion rules however this would also collect messages coming in from all other sources (ie journaling, mailroot\drop).

Another possibility would be to stop all new messages (journaling, mailroot\drop) from coming into EX, disable all other folders in the Admin and leave the desired folder enabled.
This will force all messages from the xtract task to go into that one folder.

Once the task is completed, disable that folder, re-enable all other folders and all EX to pull messages from journaling mailbox.

This last scenario may be out of the question should that task need to be frequently.

Hope that helps.

What do you mean when you say disable the folder?

HI Anuj,

Its a option available in the EX Admin Gui. I think its a tick box.

Thanks,

Is that good for an Xtract task like archive or shortcut? I faced problems with it, let me recheck.

Thanks.
