Content of shortcut messages not searchable
So I ran into the following issue:
I've got a user who has an UDA-folder, lets say 'Archive_UD'. Activities are set to archive and shortcut (Message body included) the content of this folder.
When the user performs an Outlook search on the UDA-folder with a keyword that's inside one of the shortcutted mail messages, the result box shows 'No matches found for xxxx'.
The mapped folder has Owner permission for the Domain Users, the security group has Owner permission, the admin group has Administrator permission.
How come searching on shortcutted content isn' t possible?
The Message Class of the mail items: IPM.Note.ExShortcut.EXArchived (in UDA-folder) and on the Inbox, where content also is being shortcut (IPM.Note.ExShortcut)
What does the message class IPM.Note.ExShortcut.EXArchived mean?

Searching within Outlook only searches messages that are readable by Outlook.
Outlook has no way to read the information in the Archive.
If these have to be searchable within Outlook then don't shortcut the message bodies.
Message bodies are typically small and don't have a large effect on the Exchange storage size but do have a significant effect on the users search experience.
If messages bodies are HTML you can shortcut the inline items to reduce the body size.
Overall I recommend not shortcutting message bodies.

When Offline Access is done caching, Outlook should be able to search for keywords inside the body?
