EX 4.81 UPD folder in Baddir
Dear All,
there is an Ex 4.81 system archiving Exchange, there is an UPD folder under the EmailXtender\MSgCenter\Baddir. It contains 3 pairs of folders, each pair has the same ID using alphanumeric chars, eg. 625G50F790FC4e922f3e3456 but the ending differs, .upd and _Queue.
In the .upd folder there is a small file and has the same id as the folder, but .access extension. in the Queue folder, there is a small xml file, but in the case of xml the alphanumeric ID is differs from the folders ID.
Sample.
\EmailXtender\MSGCenter\Baddir\UPD folder
- 625G50F790FC4e922f3e3456.upd folder
- 625G50F790FC4e922f3e3456.access file
- 625G50F790FC4e922f3e3456_Queue folder
- 254F345E8123B.xml file
What are those files? What do I have to do with them?
Thank You.
Krisztian

Good Afternoon,
Those UPD files are what we call Owner Updates that , at the time they were created could not be processed.
There is a utiliity called EXBadDirProcessor that needs to be run to reprocess these files.
I would open a support ticket and EMC Support can assist you in getting this done.
Regards
Stephane.
