Messages not being pulled from journaling mailbox

Hi,

I have 2 errors in the event viewer that loops:

First one:

Error posting/queuing message to be archived......

Second one:

Failed to update SQL database: 80002060 with message.....

The strange things is that I believe I had the same issue a couple of years ago,

and also had a link to possible solution, but that link is dead now.

It had something to do with reinstalling msmq, but I can't remember and I can't find it again.

https://solutions.emc.com/nsepn/webapps/stqv768481dmts46655278/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg82280

I do have 3 queues stuck with a lot of messages, is it safe to try reinstalling msmq?

Also checked that the SQL is not out of discspace.

Best regards,

Martin

Good Morning,

The KB article you referenced is no longer available.  For this type of problem, it is best to contact Support, start a webex and work through the issue together.  Reinstalling MSMQ is probably not the answer to your problem, so unless instructed by Support to do so, it will more than likely not be required.  In addition, you can determine the status of the message by clipping the message id from the "Error posting/queuing"  error, launching Health Check and placing the message id in the msgid checker utility located in the View menu. Please provide this information to Support as it will be a great help to them.

Thank you.

MJ

Martin,

MJ is correct, re-installing MSMQ will more than likely not be required.

The KB you mentioned has been replaced by this KB Article : esg100330

Having said that, you did not mention the version of EmailXtender you are running. If it is 4.81.1147, we have found a bug that matches the error message you are reporting.

The Bug Number is : SDR  33056.(Hotfix 4.81.1209)

Regardless of the version of EmailXtender, I would recommend you contact support and we can have a look at this with you.

You can open a ticket with us a few different ways,

1)  From Powerlink :

Live Chat :  Home > Support > Request Support > Live Chat

Traditional Support : Home > Support > Request Support > Create Service Request

2)  By Phone :

          Toll Free Number  : 1-877-534-2867

Stephane,

Thanks for info.

The link you provided doesn't work for me.

I just thought that, I got the same issue as back then so it was worth checking that solution again.

We are running version 4.81.1459.

We bought this through Dell, so I guess I have to contact them for support.

Best regards,

Martin

Martin,

It is my understanding that, even when DELL sells the solution , they have to include EMC Support/Maintenance.

Please call in our toll free number and our CST group will be able to check if you have maintenance and possibly open a ticket for you.

The number to reach them is : 1-877-537-2867.

Regards.

Stephane
