Moving Exchange Journaling Mailboxes from Server to Server.

Hello,

We are planning on moving the Exchange Journaling mailboxes from one server to another. We will obviously stop all EMC EX services while performing the move, but my question is:

In Vault Properties on the Email Connection Mailboxes we have 6 journaling mailboxes listed. Should we remove these from the list and re-add them once the mailbox move is complete? I'm currently thinking we DON'T have to do this, but I'm asking just in case.

The reason I think we don't have to do this, is because under the Server column, 3 of the mailboxes listed here are actually on a different server; When we added them, the column defaulted to the first Exchange Server listed, not letting us pick a different one for the other 3 which were on a different Exchange server.

Thanks for any thoughts or information.

I recommend removing the mailboxes from their and adding them again after migration is completed. I have seen problems when you do some activity on Exchange server and the journalling stops automatically.

When you remove & re-add the mailbox connector, it starts working again.
