Shortcut specific folders only
Hi there
We have this kind of problem:
We would like to shortcut only emails in one specific folder. Let's say the user has a folder called "archive" in his mailbox. Every mail that he puts in there will be shortcutet. The rest of the mailbox won't be touched by EX.
Is it possible to establish a shortcut task which works only through this folder? I didn't find a way to solve this in EX.
Maybe someone has an idea?
thanks.

no, I can't think of a way to do this either; not in case everybody gets a "User Archive Folder" called "archive" which is configured on the EX server. There is the option about the "hidden message" matching a class... that's also just administrative fumbling. Sorry.
Keep well,
Jochen.

As per today's design of EmailXtract Application, EX does not give an option to choose a folder that users might have created in their mailbox. EX only gives options for standard outlook folder and you can make a tick for sub-folders but that will be for ALL subfolders instead of one particular one.
There is concept of User Directed Archiving (UDA) but that is a different configuration all together and you can read about it in the EX Admin guide.
If you like you always can raise request for enhancement through powerlink or by contacting EMC EmailXtrander Support by raising a service request. Support will send you an template to be filled by you so that they could present a business case to the product management.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Raj
