Unable to create ONM file

Yes, EX event errors are a mystery. Either you know them and know what to do or one needs EMC support. No MOM integration or "searchable" database either... if you are not EMC. They really need to work on this...

The only thing I wonder about EX logs, any place where we can find an answer to/details to why a specific error for a specific mail. Powerlink search does not have any the errors I have seen in EX logs and the EX detailed log shows only this much.

ONM files are the "native domino mail items" for EX. As domino is a database, there are no "native maili items". In Exchange environments, you see MSG-files...

E.g. when you run a web-search against EX and display an email, you'll always have an ONM file (attached) as the original and additional files for the attachments... For Exchange environments, you'd see an MSG file attached.

Your error sounds as the notes item couldn't be generated by EX.

ONM > OTG Notes Message > Method to pack individual messages for archiving.

For the error message check journaling database to find out if something is weired going on. Usually corrupt mail if still there is issue open new SR and we would work with you.
