vC Operations Manager VNX Adapter licence

Question

Hello, I'm in process of testing vCenter Operations Manager. Got trial version of vCOPS from VMware and I would like to use VNX Storage  adapter to get all possible metrics from VNX5300 to Operations Manger. Unfortunately, during the configuration of EMC Adapter I received the message: 'Test was not successful. Configuration test failed: The selected collector requires a license and the license is empty. 'I found case number emc323937. Following this case, I double-checked theconfiguration of management IP. VNX Block -> SP A IP. Do I really need license for Storage adapter? Any other hint where could be a problem? Thanks for your help. Lukas.

Hi Lukas, Yes you do need a license for every array you configure with the EMC Storage Adapter.  Your EMC representative should be able to obtain a trial license for you. Thanks. Drew

you may simply request a trial license via EMC support hotline. That's how I did it. That got me only 1 day to get them.
