Alienware 610m Wired/Wireless Mouse only works on white surfaces
I recently purchase an AW610M mouse, and the cursor will only move on a white surface. However, when I would open Alienware Command Center, open the mouse settings, the cursor would start moving on a dark surface. I didn't adjust any settings. I only had to open the settings. But, Command Center kept locking up, so I uninstalled it. After reinstalling it, it won't let me access the mouse settings. Now, I have to tape a piece of paper to my mousepad in order to use the mouse. Any ideas?

Following an update this week (Sept 2023) my Alienware 610M Wired/wireless mouse now only tracks on a white surface - I have checked the mouse settings and can't find any settings that will make a difference! Now I have to tape a white sheet of paper to my mouse pad - this is BS!
I have an R12 system that just updated in the last 2 days and have restarted it no difference. Selection of Alienware command center default or my theme which I have used for the last year makes no difference.

Update - despite running the My Alienware software update options in My Alienware Support Assist to no avail (I installed the one update it recommended - it made no difference). I then searched the Dell site for updates related to the 610M mouse and downloaded and installed 'Alienware-Command-Center-Application_69JY1_WIN_5.5.51.0_A00.exe' - after installation my mouse now tracks on dark surfaces....as to how long this fix will work remains to be seen!
